World of Warcraft - item upgrades Upgrading

Upgrades to items allow players to increase an item upgrades's gear score up to 700, and then add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory before heading to the kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded for their unique stats (like a perfectly made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not change significantly after an upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats such as crit chance, attack damage, PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons also come with an unchanging bonus that increases their damage per second. A lot of weapons also come with a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a group. This bonus can sometimes be greater than the damage that an upgrade alone can do.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity and level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the gun will increase until it requires a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. While this is generally an excellent thing, it can have some negative consequences as well. For items that are only used in a particular build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example) upgrading them could render them unusable unless you happen to have an extremely lucky roll.

Upgrades can be made to armor items to increase their effectiveness. This can boost the defense of a chest or helm as well as belts and gloves. These will increase their required strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it may reroll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats it will gain after upgrading along with the values of these stats. This means that an upgrade from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in a weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will hit for 3 times less often because it's an absolute statistic.

A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button with arrows that circle in the item upgrader kit menu. This will reroll an item upgrader kit and alter its stats, but not reset the weapon's levels or bind it to account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make the world of difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE increases in resistance to poison, curses fire, magic, and other. This makes it easier to traverse difficult terrains. In general, the greater defense you have for your character, the greater health you'll gain from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.

To upgrade your armor, go to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains in the game and in order to unlock each fountain, you have to complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. After you've completed the main quest, and the corresponding fountains, Item Upgrades you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees needed for each level will differ. It is possible to use anything from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for example, can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which allows you to keep up in frigid environments with a large number of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded as high as +20 defense so that you can survive a raid with your comrades.

It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll have to work on upgrading it for physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're Mage. It's also a good idea to save your armor upgrades for armor you'll wear at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you'll wear for the final boss fight, Item upgrades the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can unlock perks for your armor. You'll generally want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. However, it's beneficial to have a few upgrades to the chest armor and helmets to let you sneak around some monsters.

Potions

Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed, provide the user with the illusion of status for a few minutes. There are five kinds of potions, each with particular effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to enhance their effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.

Upgrades to your potion require a specific amount of XP. This can be obtained by crafting them on a crafting table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. To upgrade a potions simply right-click on it in your inventory. Then, select "Upgrade" from the menu. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.

Once a poton is upgraded, it will not degrade unless you make use of it again or break the bottle within the container it is kept. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to rename it.

There were a few updates to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. For instance splash potions now have the duration of 0.08 seconds (this is not the equivalent of 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display for the Best item upgrader). The table for potion can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be combined in cauldrons. The same is true for using a potion within an empty cauldron. This will draw out the potion, and refill the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions that are brewed using dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can also be added to lingering potions to extend their effect. The table of potion ingredients is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added such as the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to an ornament or object that serves a function but isn't essential as a trinket. In certain traditions, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, specifically between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. They can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets are able to be swapped out at will without losing their stats.

The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, as well as in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are offered with tokens, gold or fragments of trinkets that are rare.

Upgrades to trinkets are an affordable alternative to buying a new one. One can upgrade their trinket for as little 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same base level as the old trinket but it also comes with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

Once the old Trinkets have become no longer useful they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded between players which makes them a good alternative to gold.

In general players should upgrade their top-priority items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are first upgraded, followed by their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment that will not replace in the near future (such as an earring or a cloak). When choosing which items to upgrade, players must also consider the class's preferred stats. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tanks, they should be focusing on upgrading their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and chest.

Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher ilvl after they are no longer useful and the new trinket will have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. A re-upgrade, however, will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it is salvaged using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still cheaper than purchasing a new one.
