World of Warcraft Upgrades and item upgrade Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as PvE damage and crit chance.

If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will be able to gain 3percent of its previous damage for every time it is upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets to give them a boost in stats or upgrade item an extra effect. They can be acquired through crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on equipment with a slot. The Best item upgrader must be at least upgraded to blue before a component can be used. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may be prefixed or a suffix changing the name of the item to which it is applied (for instancefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of the equipment that require less Upgrade Item Crystals than is required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the defense or attack attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

The player can get a maximum of five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their equipment even if they are unsure what can be improved upon the reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be costly, and it is possible that the item will be obsolete, or even break, if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items to increase or even eliminate the possibility of failure, as well as some upgrades that offer a bonus when reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, and include any existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as you can to level 15.

It is commonplace to see in the endgame that placing Glyphs is the most effective way to upgrade your gear. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and give a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restriction. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Leveling

The item upgrading system lets players increase the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components inside them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items may be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned you will be able to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When the player upgrades an item it is replaced by a new item of the same type. The same armor can be transformed into a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will have its own set bonus. This could be a drawback since the item may increase in price even if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens they can reroll item upgrades. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will have a level 1 base and a different set of bonus bonuses. This can be useful but it should not be repeated often since it could waste resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants buffs when the player is repeatedly in or exits the water. If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that, when a weapon gains an increase in the chance of crit the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots.
