If you're on a tight budget and don't need a stroller that doubles up as a car seat carrier The Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It has a simple, one-step foot brake that's flip flop user-friendly.

It's also easy to push and feels solid when you're navigating kerbs and woodland pathways. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has built a reputation as the most lightweight buggy for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, due to its super nimble manoeuvrability and fold-down that fits into aeroplane overhead luggage. It can be used as a pram right from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into a stroller after 6 months using the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The frame of the Xplore feels sturdy and solid however it doesn't have the same flex as some of the other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the other models and does not close tightly when folded. It is easy to move however, and fits through doors with a width of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel single stroller with bench seat is a great choice for parents who are looking for a second stroller that's affordable. It scored highly in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and folded dimensions. This means it's lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to carry and put in a trunk for your car. It also comes with the option of reclining in multiple positions and a parent cup holder. Other features worth mentioning include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

It did better in our push and turn test than most of the other strollers we tested, but it is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has were among the tiniest of strollers we tested. They only cover the top, and do not feature peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a much larger canopy.

The Delta took us just over 3 minutes to put together using an average manual, and none of the components required tools. However, it is missing some essential features that we believe you should consider non-negotiable for a double stroller like a large basket, and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

The seat can be reclined with one hand, and the big shopping basket makes it easy for parents to help their child in and out. Despite this being quite narrow, the pushchair handled the everyday bumps well and slid through doors without a hitch.

The front wheels can be locked in forward positions or allow them to rotate which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. On our walk through the stony trail, we let them swivel and it handled this fairly well although it did seem a little bumpier than others on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its 3-wheeled all-terrain, jogging strollers. But they also make a broad variety of pushchairs that have four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most popular models. It is easy to use and folds up small enough to fit in a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It is heavier than the other strollers we tried, but because it has rubber composite wheels, it feels sturdy and well-made. It maneuvers expertly across different kinds of terrain, and it's easy to move, even when loaded with two kids and a shopping bag.

The seat and carrycot both have hoods that can be pulled down to reveal sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are sturdy and waterproof, in contrast to other hoods for prams, which can be blown back onto toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does have a large basket that's big enough to hold an infant's changing bag and plenty of food items. It can also be connected with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for babies as big as 20 lb (car seat and adapters sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a good choice if you want to take a stroller with you on the move.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that won the hearts of a large number of parents when it first debuted. It's an aluminium framed stroller that will be with you throughout your baby's early days and beyond. It's got a lot of standout features, such as the ability of the seat to be flipped between parent and world facing, a large UPF50+ canopy, an eye-shade that flips out, as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The Duet is a side-byside stroller and can be set up to take twins or siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and works with some carrycots. In twin-mode, the seats can be facing each other or be turned around to face the parents, theoretically cutting down on sibling fights over who gets to sit with mom and dad. It comes with a massive gear tray, bottle holder snack tray, and an adjustable mat. It also comes with an automatic frame lock and a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban glide 2 is a great jogger for parents that like to be active. It's among the lightest running strollers that you can buy for your child. It also comes with excellent safety features such as five-point harnesses and a secure wrist strap. It has a different type of hand brake than other models, which is an innovative twist.

The seat is well-padded and has plenty of room to sit in, however the depth of the seat is lower than other joggers we've tested (it's about 10"). The storage bin is equipped with a zippered cover to help keep things secure. It can hold up to 10 pounds., which is sufficient for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with bassinets for infants or car seats as of yet, but you can use it from the beginning by purchasing adapters to most seats from brands like BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It is easy to fold and assemble in just 5-10 minutes with no tools. The manual is easy to read and contains a variety of languages.
